Mostly people think about batters whenever someone talks about the Baap of IPL. There’s a bowler named Jasprit Bumrah; he is one of the best bowler in IPL; he debuted in 2013 and played an essential role in Mumbai Indian’s victory in 2017 and 19.
He took 112 wickets in 95 matches while his economy rate was 7.35.
4. Chris Gayle
Gayle is known as Universe Boss because of his aggressive batting style. He’s the biggest entertainer when it comes to limited-overs cricket, especially T-20. Currently, he’s playing for Punjab kings, but he has also played for other franchises such as RCB.
Gayle has scored 4822 runs in 134 matches with strike rates of 149.89. also, he’s the highest run-scorer in a single inning; once he has scored 175, not out. Apart from this, he has registered 351 sixes in his account.
3. Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli is the captain of team India, although he’ll leave captaincy after ICC T-20 World Cup in 2021. He needs only 56 runs to complete 6000 runs; then, he’ll become the first player to score 6000 runs in IPl. Sadly, Kohli has no IPL trophy in his career, but he’s one of the best players in history, so now, if someone asks you who Baap of IPL is, you can answer them.
Kohli has scored 5944 runs in 194 matches.
2 Rohit Sharma
Mumbai’s captain and batsman Rohit Sharma is also known as Ro-Hit Sharma; he has won the trophy five times. He also played for Deccan Chargers, which is now known as sunrises Hyderabad.
Rohit Sharma has scored 5249 runs in 203 matches; therefore, he’s on the second position in the list of Baap of IPL.
1 MS Dhoni
MS Dhoni has been one of the best finisher in cricket history across the world. His ability to lead the team in final or semifinals matches. He played for Chennai super kings, and his fans fondly call him “THALA.”
He led Chennai to the final many times, and in 2021 Chennai left their 4th IPL trophy. He made 4632 runs in the 2016 innings; therefore, I put him first in the list of Baap of IPL.
Baap of IPL CSK
MS Dhoni and CSK are considered the Baap of IPL because MS Dhoni is a captain who left the trophy four 4 times. Besides, Chennai has reached the final 8 times; that’s why Chennai is the Godfather.
